Hey, sorry. I know I'm a stranger to you but a friend of mine really looks up to you and he and I would very much appreciate an answer to my question. How, through everything that has happened in your life, have you managed to always be true to yourself?

That’s so sweet! (: I think my parents have a huge play in that.  They taught me so much and encouraged me to know that I can do anything.  They taught me that confidence is key and I think that with confidence and a little soul searching, it isn’t hard to stay true to yourself. There is a quote I found in my quotationary in 11th grade that says “above all, be true to yourself, and if you cannot put your heart in it, take yourself out of it” Hardy D. Jackson.  It just sort of stuck haha.  Sometimes it gets easy to lose sight of who you are when things get difficult or hectic but when that happens, it helps me to sit and reflect what I am doing, how I got here, and who I am.  However, I don’t think I know exactly who I am or how to actually be true to myself. I’m still searching for what I want and who I want to be. But isn’t that the fun of it all? The constant search? Because when the search is over, what’s left? Also, having a positive, good heart helps. Knowing that doing good for others and helping out is more beneficial than trying to bring someone down. What is the point in hurting people?  Sorry for the long-winded response, hahaha. I guess I got a little carried away. I hope you and your friend have a wonderful night(:
